1. Justice Department Joins xAI Suit to Invalidate Colorado AI Anti-Discrimination Law Tier 1

The DOJ has intervened in xAI’s constitutional challenge to Colorado SB 24-205, marking the first time the federal government has moved to strike down a state AI law. Colorado’s AG agreed to pause enforcement of the act until a court rules on the preliminary injunction; the law was set to take effect June 30, 2026.


2. Nebraska Signs Conversational AI Safety Act Tier 1
